Refund Policy
At New Ideal Model Schools, Jalingo, we are committed to providing a high-quality educational experience for our students. We understand that circumstances may arise where a refund is requested. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted for fees and other payments made to the school.
1. Application and Admission Fees
a. Non-Refundable Fees:
- Application fees are non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the admission process.
- Admission fees paid to secure a place for a student are also non-refundable, except in certain exceptional circumstances as determined by the school administration.
2. Tuition Fees
a. Refund Eligibility:
- Withdrawal Before Term Start: If a student withdraws from the school before the start of the term, a refund of tuition fees may be granted, less an administrative fee to cover processing costs.
- Withdrawal During the Term: If a student withdraws during the term, tuition fees may be partially refunded based on the number of weeks attended. The refund amount will be prorated, and an administrative fee may apply.
b. No Refunds for Short-Term Absences:
- Refunds will not be granted for short-term absences, such as illness, family trips, or other personal reasons.
3. Other Fees
a. Activity and Program Fees:
- Fees paid for extracurricular activities, programs, or trips are generally non-refundable unless the activity or program is canceled by the school.
b. Examination Fees:
- Examination fees are non-refundable unless a student is unable to attend the examination due to medical reasons or other valid circumstances, in which case the school may consider a partial refund on a case-by-case basis.
4. Refund Process
a. Refund Request:
- To request a refund, parents or guardians must submit a written request to the school administration, detailing the reason for the refund and providing any necessary documentation (e.g., medical certificates, withdrawal forms).
b. Review and Approval:
- The refund request will be reviewed by the school administration, and a decision will be made based on the circumstances and this Refund Policy. The school reserves the right to approve or deny any refund request.
c. Refund Disbursement:
- Approved refunds will be processed within 2 weeks of the approval date. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method or another agreed-upon method.
5. Special Circumstances
a. Force Majeure:
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the school, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions, the school may modify this Refund Policy at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated to parents and guardians.
b. School Closures:
- If the school is closed for an extended period due to reasons beyond our control, refunds or credits may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the duration and impact of the closure.
