Introducing the Head of Schools
Oluwafemi Adebanjo is a certified and diligent educator who has operated in the leadership position for many years in various international schools across Nigeria. With a Master’s Degree in Statistics from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from the University of Benin, and Cambridge certification and several education training, Oluwafemi has recorded an impressive academic repertoire. His education, combined with his extensive knowledge in the fields of education and training makes him an excellent choice for any forward-thinking international organisation.
Oluwafemi started his career as a young Mathematics teacher in Akure, Ondo State where he taught Grade 5 to 7; from there, he went to Ibadan where he worked with Vicpam Model College as a Mathematics teacher. He later proceeded to the University of Benin for his first degree. While studying, he taught Mathematics as a part-time teacher at Bright Academy, Benin City. Owing to his exceptional performances and personality he got promoted to the position of the Head of Mathematics Department. Therafter, Oluwafemi worked in Comprehensive High School, Obudu, Cross-River State and Seed of Grace International College.
Oluwafemi joined the service of Mabest Academy, Akure in 2016 as a Mathematics teacher and house parent. After a few years, he was promoted to the position of the School Registrar and later became the Head of Administration until he left in October, 2024.
His career came to limelight when he was nominated from Nigeria alongside 5 others to review the British Council’s Partner School Global Network (PSGN). In 2022, 2023, and 2024, he was also nominated alongside other international delegates to represent Nigeria at the SchoolsNow Conference in Dubai UAE, Florida, USA, and Cape Town, South Africa, respectively.
Oluwafemi is not just an outstanding educator but also an assessment specialist with Cambridge.
His proven success record speaks volumes about his teaching methods.
His teaching profile extends beyond the Nigerian curriculum. He has significant experience teaching the British curriculum, having trained students in international schools for more than a decade. Notably, his students achieved the second-best results in Nigeria for the Cambridge IGCSE Maths for 3 consecutive years.
